Douglas McFarlane

Dougie has extensive knowledge in the ‘Transport Training’ Industry delivering all aspects of classroom based and on-site courses since 2018.

Originally from a military background, including managing a team distributing humanitarian aid throughout Bosnia Herzegovina, on leaving the military he used his newly gained driving qualifications to enter the transport industry.

Having been an HGV driver since 1994 and then subsequently a Transport Manager for 14 years Dougie has a wealth of experience of being both an HGV driver and  Transport Manager to assist when training candidates in either role.

His Transport Manager role included delivering Driver CPC to his own drivers, as well as managing the JAUPT approval requirements alongside the ‘normal’  day to day requirements of a being named on the Operators Licence.

Dougie joined Sure in early 2018 and since then he has undergone his DGSA training, is an SQA accredited ADR trainer and continues to deliver ADR and CPC courses in classrooms (and online during COVID) throughout the UK

Craig Gorse

Craig has extensive knowledge in the Transport Training Industry delivering all aspects of classroom based and on-site courses.

Initially gathering dangerous goods knowledge in the Royal Artillery he went on to gain practical experience delivering all types of ADR class goods to petro-chemical sites within the UK.

After achieving ‘train the trainer’ status early in 2010 he turned his attention to sharing his knowledge and experience with others and became a trusted Instructor within of Driver CPC and ADR.

As a SQA and Jaupt approved trainer Craig delivers regular courses throughout the UK.
